LG AI Research has introduced EXAONEPath, a new open-source AI model that could change how doctors analyze medical images.

It focuses on whole slide images (WSIs)—very detailed pictures of tissue used to diagnose diseases like cancer.

Traditional ways of analyzing these images are slow and expensive. EXAONEPath uses advanced AI techniques to make the process faster and more accurate.

In tests, EXAONEPath performed better than many other models, scoring 0.861 in tasks like cancer detection.
