Google AI has released two updated models: Gemini-1.5-Pro-002 and Gemini-1.5-Flash-002.

These new models show up to a 20% improvement in solving complex math problems and about 7% gains in tasks involving both text and images.

One of the key updates is a 15% price reduction for using these models. Additionally, the models are now production-ready, optimized for real-world applications.

Nvidia Launches Llama-3.1-Nemotron-51B: 4x Workloads on a Single GPU with 2.2x Faster Inference

Nvidia released the Llama-3.1-Nemotron-51B, an upgraded LLM that can run 4x larger workloads on a single GPU during inference! 

Key highlights:

• 2.2x faster inference than previous models, with high accuracy.

• Designed to run on a single Nvidia H100 GPU, reducing both costs and hardware needs.

• Nvidia has optimized the model to be more efficient in memory and computing power.

They used a method called block distillation, which teaches smaller parts of the model to work just as well as larger versions. 

This approach helps the model handle bigger tasks while using fewer resources.

Another cool feature is the Puzzle algorithm, which fine-tunes the model's structure to ensure the best mix of speed and accuracy for any given task. 

Reddit Expands AI Translation to New Markets

Reddit is rolling out AI-powered automatic translation for posts in dozens of new countries.

This feature will make it easier for users across different languages to engage with content by offering translations in multiple languages.
