World's Biggest Music Labels Sue Over AI Copyright

Sony Music, Universal Music Group, and Warner Records are suing AI start-ups Suno and Udio for copyright infringement.

These AI companies are accused of creating tracks that mimic artists like ABBA, seeking $150,000 per song in damages.

The Recording Industry Association of America announced this legal clash, highlighting the debate over AI's role in music.

Suno, partnered with Microsoft, and Udio, backed by Andreessen Horowitz, are at the center of this dispute. The record labels argue that AI-generated music threatens genuine human artistry and the music industry.

This lawsuit follows a call from 200 artists, including Billie Eilish and Nicki Minaj, to curb the "predatory" use of AI in music.

Amazon Prepping ChatGPT Rival 'Metis' AI Chatbot

Amazon is developing a new AI chatbot called "Metis" to rival OpenAI's ChatGPT.

Metis will be powered by Amazon's internal AI model, Olympus, which is more advanced than their public Titan model.

Designed to provide text- and image-based answers, share links, suggest follow-up queries, and generate images, Metis will use retrieval-augmented generation for real-time information updates like stock prices.

It is also expected to automate tasks such as booking flights and controlling smart home devices.

Amazon aims to compete with tech giants like Microsoft and Google in the AI assistant market.

The launch is scheduled for September, aligning with a major Alexa event, despite internal concerns about lagging behind competitors.

Introducing the Multi-Agent Research Assistant - GPT Researcher

GPT Researcher by Assaf Elovic has recently passed 10K stars on GitHub and showcases how a team of agents can work together to conduct an in-depth research on any given topic.

Having every agent focus and specialize only on a specific skill, allows for better separation of concerns, customizability, and overall quality.
