USA launches ChatGPT Military
The US military launched ChatGPT Military on Monday. It's officially called ChatGPT Mil, and it's cleared for sensitive government information that regular ChatGPT could never touch.
Looks like the app you use, chat, files, projects and custom GPTs.
3 million soldiers and civilians get access on GenAI.mil, and 1.7 million already use it.
Grok launched the same day under SpaceX's Starshield brand, joining Gemini.
Claude is the one American AI not on the list. Anthropic refused unrestricted military use and insisted on safety guardrails, so the Trump administration labeled it a supply-chain risk. Anthropic is fighting that in court.
Trump attacks Americans for data centers
Trump went after the Americans protesting AI data centers. Communities that fight them "want to end up being backwards and poor," he said in a statement Monday, and the country should let data reign.
He also said China could not be happier with the anti-data-center movement.
Data centers train AI, USA needs to stay ahead of China but towns keep rejecting them over power bills and environmental problems.

A Silicon Valley group launched a multimillion-dollar campaign before the midterms to support data center friendly politicians.
The current US government say they don’t want to pause progress for two reasons.
China isn’t stopping anytime soon and will catch quickly.

OpenAI's ad business hit $1 billion annualized revenue in 200 days.
Tens of thousands of advertisers buy placements, and starting Monday they can buy directly across India, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. The ads run on the free tier which over a billion weekly users.

Musk says AI beats you at everything digital by 2027
Elon Musk says AI will do anything that doesn't require shaping atoms at a superhuman level by the end of next year.
Code, contracts, analysis, design, ads, research. If the work happens on a screen, superhuman by the end of 2027. Plumbing, cooking, surgery and anything else with hands stays human a while longer.
Musk's timelines are famously elastic, full self-driving has been a year away since 2016. He's building the data centers like he means this one though.
