YouTube has enhanced its Shorts platform by integrating Googleâs Veo 2 AI video generation model into the Dream Screen feature.Â
This advancement allows creators to generate standalone AI-produced video clips for their Shorts content.Â
Previously, Dream Screen enabled users to add AI-generated backgrounds to their videos; now, with Veo 2, creators can input text prompts to produce entire video clips.
To utilize this feature, users can open the Shorts camera, access the media picker, and select the âCreateâ option to enter their desired text prompt.
This functionality is currently available in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with plans for broader expansion.

OpenAI has recently removed certain content warnings from ChatGPT, a move that has raised concerns among users and experts. Previously, ChatGPT would display warnings when generating potentially sensitive or controversial content, alerting users to the nature of the information provided.Â
The removal of these warnings has led to discussions about the balance between user autonomy and the ethical responsibility of AI developers to prevent the dissemination of harmful or misleading information.Â
Critics argue that without these warnings, users may inadvertently encounter or rely on content that could be inappropriate or factually incorrect, potentially leading to misinformation or other negative consequences.Â
OpenAI has not yet provided a detailed explanation for this change, leaving many to question the implications for user safety and the ethical use of AI-generated content.

Google has introduced a new feature in its Gemini AI chatbot that adds âreceiptsâ to conversations, providing more transparency into how the AI generates responses.Â
This update allows users to see citations and links to sources Gemini used when generating its answers, helping to verify information and reduce concerns about AI hallucinations. The feature aims to make AI interactions more trustworthy by giving users direct access to supporting evidence.Â
Initially, it will be available in certain contexts and is expected to expand over time.
ANTHROPIC
Anthropic is reportedly preparing to release its next major AI model within weeks, signaling a rapid advancement in its Claude AI lineup.Â
The new model is expected to offer improved reasoning, efficiency, and multimodal capabilities, competing directly with OpenAIâs GPT-4 and Googleâs Gemini.Â
While details remain scarce, the upgrade is anticipated to enhance Claudeâs ability to handle complex tasks, reinforcing Anthropicâs position in the AI race. The release aligns with the growing demand for more powerful and trustworthy AI systems across industries.
